Wow. Phew I thought it was just me. I'm glad someone else recognizes “Houston, we've got a problem.”
Each country that currently has nuclear ability needs to remain stable, and unstable countries seeking ability need to be prevented from acquiring them. There has already been a call out for a nuclear suicide bomber from the Islamic extremists.
I think most of the West is involved in the economic crisis and backstabbing each other over it or some other lame thing not paying attention to what the Islamics are doing and how vulnerable we are. We've got some pretty deceptive and violent opportunists out there that want to see the demise of the West and making a move for global hegemony.
They aren't just doing it in Pakistan and Afganistan but they're doing it in our own backyards too! We better get our sh*t together or not even Houston can save us.
America sent more troops to Afganistan. We can't do this alone there really are too many of them and it's tough terrain. We purposely sent envoy and asked Europe for help but they're too busy or whatever lame excuse they gave I don't know but I'm horribly ticked off at them about it. In WW2 everyone had to fight and the time is now not later to avoid mass casualty again. It's just not enough troops we need more. Europe didn't recognize Hitler early on they're dropping the ball on this one too. And as far as it being fought just in Afganistan that’s a misperception of reality there are so many fronts on the war on terror it's actually global now.
JD I'm not afraid of the terrorists I retain my hope against them. What scares me speechless is that my own allies would ignore such a threat and endanger us all again. They never learned from WW2??!! That one just blows me away.

In 1998 India tested 3 nuclear weapons, the only nuclear weapons ever to be tested and avoid the American radar systems. After the tests were done America and the whole world were astonished at the fact that India, yes India had been capable of doing that. 11 years later India has not and will not use their WMD's. Pakistan 2 weeks following India tested old WMD given to them by China. They have not and won’t use them. They’re not in the hands of the Taliban. China has never used WMD. North Korea never. Iran never. Russia never. You get my point. The only one we’ve to fear is America, they have used WMD and will not hesitate to do so again. Cheers!

Pakistan does not scare me… it is the Pakistanis and especially their Islamic government which scares me and to be honest, I feel sorry for India having to deal with a nice neighbor like that… because if Pakistan wants to injure a country, they will go against India in the first place… second place… third place……………..
Pakistan is the paradise for Taliban… and the ridiculous thing is that as soon as the US troops go out of Afghanistan all what the Taliban need to do is cross the frontier again to go home and things will be the same again… so what was it good for? Iran's leader is crazy, but I think he’ll at least think twice before he starts any action, because he is still clever enough to know what the answer will be like and that he and his fabulous Islamic “democracy” will be blown away… so all he really does is barking as loud as possible.

what is scary is when a state HAS to arm itself with nukes to keep an aggressor nation at bay. a world of peace attempts would be superior than all the war efforts. if no country tried to force its will onto others, then nuclear arms would not be needed. usa can't fight terrorism with nukes. terrorism would only increase if they tried. you can't kill the populations (i hope) to fight terrorism, and there is no government to bring to their knees by bombing their capital with nukes. terrorism might spell the end of nuclear war as a type of war to use. nukes may become only weapons which work in today's world if they are in the hands of terrorists.
