“Red Eye”airplane?

Is it boring, fun, exiting….tell me everything about it. I am going on it to New York. By the way, how many hours is it to New york to Los Angles?

It's amazing how the time will fly when you fly a red eye. You will probably sleep during the whole flight they normally turn off the lights and everyone is slouched over in their seat or laid out in the back of the plane sleep. Wear some comfortable clothes on the plane, bring a sweater and or small blanket.

It departs late and You wont sleep; that is why it is called "Red Eye". It will be what you make of it.

Don't try to make it fun and exciting when others are trying to sleep. They turn the lights out. If you can sleep, good for you. If you cannot, you still have to be quiet sitting in the dark because other people are trying to sleep. No movies.

It is pretty boring because the airline and other passengers expect you to be really quiet, preferably sleeping. I did a red-eye flight from San Diego to Chicago, Los Angeles to New York as well as Los Angeles to Pittsburgh. Slept through the whole flight.

Flight time from Los Angeles to New York is about 5 to 5 1/2 hours. It depends on how fast the airplane is flying as well as how strong a tailwind the airplane gets.
