It depends on where you are going … winter is peak season in Florida, for instance (people like to travel to warmer climates during winter breaks). Don't believe me? Check hotel rates in Key West during December compared to July.
There are peak travel times and days, though … red-eye flights are cheaper, and so is travelling on Tuesday or Thursday.
Fare prices also depend on where you are flying to/from and how far in advance you book your flight.
