My folks flight is at 3 pm Friday and are worried they won't get to go on their vacation
Answer:
A little snow isn't going to cause cancellations all by itself. There may be delays for deicing the aircraft if it's snowing at 3pm, but that's no big deal.
Nonetheless, there are never any guarantees because the weather in other cities can affect your flight. I went through that a few weeks ago. My flight left three hours late even though the weather was fine in Detroit. However, it was not fine in Philadelphia and that is where the aircraft was arriving from.
Answer:
Its not showing anything that should delay a flight unduly.
Answer:
Only supposed to be 1 to 2 inches total. Should be no problem, in my opinion. The snow starts in the morning and they should be able to keep the runways and roads clear.
Answer:
Flight delays can be caused by many factors including the weather at your departure and destination airports. Delays can also be affected by delays at OTHER airports causing a backup at airports NOT experiencing bad weather. The weather channel does a good job of reporting U.S. airport delays.
