Obviously single flights are easier….but I am a family of 3 and it would cost us 1100.00 for a flight just to visit 3 days…..we can't afford that at this time…..what is everyone else doing?

Just simply wait until the summer ends. Or if you’re going on a summer vacation, check each single day on the flight website. Sometimes there are days with an airplane that has 2 seats they need to fill up rather quickly, and they charge you way less. For example, I was looking at the prices of a ticket and it was about $1,500 each. I did it just one day after and it was $800. Good luck

I have the ability to still afford to fly but at times. All it takes is saving up, compare for cheapest fare(s) possible. Round trip tickets are known to be cheaper than one way fares.
I’m currently in Czech Republic and I will tell you from experiences: I’ve noticed a lot of websites that has fares in thousands of dollars in summer so no matter how many planes I would have to take to Czech Republic, I used Zoom Airlines since it was the cheapest I could find in order to get to London, England.
Looked on RyanAir website and chose the cheapest fares possible. Stayed at my then boyfriend´s mother´s place there then flew out to Brno, Czech Republic where my Father picked me up to drive all the way to Ostrava.
It also has to depend on flexibility, I mean, I live here for the summer so it is not a problem for any of us. When going back, cheapest fare back to London, then stay for a few days there then Toronto.
My advice is keep searching until it is what you can afford or something. Or cheapest possible out there.
