I'm going to visit my family next december as im in a foreign country and i have to catch 3 planes! i was wondering if i can take the digital camera cables and the mobile charger on the planew! will the security confiscate them or wont allow me to go in the plane with them or am I allowed to go on the plane with the wires? thanks a lot for your help

Answer:
If you don't need them on the flight, put them in your checked baggage. Almost anything can go in there. If you're really worried, be sure to wrap them up individually and pack them on the top but spaced apart. That way at x-ray they should see that they're not connected to anything, and if they need to search they're right on top.

In your checked luggage the worst thing is they might want to see them. It is VERY unlikely they will be confiscated. Bring the devices (camera, phone, MP3 player, etc.) they connect to, so that you can prove to security what they’re for, and don't forget batteries to be able to turn on the devices to show that they’re real and not just shells for bombs or whatever security thinks you shouldn't have.

Be understanding when you get there - these guys deal with a lot of people, some of which are rude and stupid. Be reasonable, they might have to search, but they do it just in case. You would want them to catch something if it is bad on someone else! Be cooperative!

DO make sure that you always keep your bags with you, in sight. General travel tip - we don't want someone slipping in stuff that you didn’t pack!

Answer:
Wires and chargers are generally granted on aircraft, as well as the units for which they're used. You won't have any issues with security when you carry them on, but you'll probably want to double-check with your airline to see whether they have any specific restrictions. (Usually, there aren't restrictions on bringing onboard electronics — just on when they can or can't be used.)

Answer:
I always bring my tech items and chargers in my carry on. I never check them in the event that my bag gets lost and I can't charge the stuff I need. I've never had a problem with bringing chargers on the plane.

Answer:
