The Bank System in Argentina is a bit complicated…I should say a bit stupid :o) Anyway… It depends how much. Western Union is ok but VERY High-priced… If you’ve a friend you can make transfer some money in his/her bank account. It depends from the Banks. Banco Ciudad accept till 5.000 US$ per month (you have to write GIFT) some other banks between 2.000 and 5.000 US$ per month. Argentina is one of the few country in the world who doesn't accept money from other countries….maybe this is the reason it's always in economic trouble :o)
If the ammount is less…put te money in your Bank Account and use the ATM.
You can get big amount of money only if you buy apartments or it you demostrate to invest the money in a business.
Anyway Argentina is very beautiful… :o)
Greetings
