I like tranquility, green forest.
Answer:
Kansai. Nara sounds perfect for you. They are close to Osaka but still in the countryside, so you could work in Osaka but commute to Nara each day… Its less than an hour and they have beautiful parks and wild, tame deer.
Also Minoh shi has a big natural waterfall and lots of native monkeys.
You might also like Wakayama, or Mie. But dont go to Nagoya because the people there are weird.
Answer:
In general most jobs for gaijin in Japan are in the massive cities. Tokyo is where most gaijin find work. Green tranquil areas are out in the country and there’s not much out there in terms of economic opportunity.
Years ago I worked way out in the country side, because the satellite up/down link center was built out there. After 2 months, we were bored with that town. Fast forward to 7 years later and I moved to Tokyo. When I compare the two places, I can state that there was much more to enjoy in Tokyo. When we needed a change, we took a trip out to the country side.
Answer:
kyoto, maybe? part of it is somewhat like that and theres still more to do there than living in the countryside…seemed peaceful to me when i went there
Answer:
If you want just tranquility, green forest, there are several places as 75% of land in Japan is mountains.
