Same as what i asked, Is it possible to text a New Zealand number when they're in Austrlia? I live in Australia and recieved a text from them, but if i reply or send back will they get it?

Any recommendations will be GREATLY appreciated :)

For example, Would i have to add the Australiann Code instead of New Zealands?

Answer:
Yeah they'll get it definitely, but it will be more costly bear that in mind

Answer:
Yes, they have to be on “Roaming” status to be able to send you a text message from a NZ mobile in Australia so you just have to reply like a regular text message sent from another Australian phone number and no need to change the phone number. Use the Australia code for the Australian number and the same for the NZ number.

Just a reminder, the Australian phone carrier's international text messaging rate to New Zealand will apply when sending text messages to that number. Charge for receiving may vary from phone carriers, you may ask your mobile company for that.

Answer:
Depends. I'm from Germany and live near the border to the Czech Republic, and my mobile is switched to “block incoming when roam” to avoid the high fees. Text messages, however, will be delivered if I return back to my home country within a week. I'm with Vodafone. And cellphones don’t have regional codes, they’ve an international number where they have the ability to be reached. Standard procedure is that you store mobile phone numbers with the appropriate country code; for my area that would be +49. Most modern networks, however, recognize incomplete numbers, and your message will be delivered.

Answer:
The fact they messaged you would make me think they’re using global roaming.

So yes, just reply to the message as you would if they were in New Zealand.

It will cost you the normal fee but it might cost them a tiny more. I know when I txted an Australian number in Hawaii, I paid the normal 25cents, but they paid 50cents.

Answer:
You would have to enter the full phone number including the country code. I know when I lived in Australia for a year I was texting people back in the US. I had an Australian phone so it wasn't one of those fancy international phones with a special calling plan. I hope that was helpful.

Answer:
Yip you can text back. You wouldn't have to add any code to the number, just txt the number you would txt if you were in NZ and it'll get there fine

Answer:
worth a shot… we might have some sort of telecommunications deal with each other.. its possible… try it and tell us if it worked

Answer:
Yep because I text one.

Answer:
why wouldn't you be able to?
