Answer:
I'm from Belo Horizonte, welcome to my city! =D
The safest area of Belo Horizonte is the south region,in neighborhoods like Belvedere,Manguabeiras,Sion but they’re very pricey.Another good place is the “Pampulha” region,it's safe and calm,it's a neighborhood with houses only,no tall buildings.
I think the ideal place could be the “Buritis” neighborhood,it's safe and near of nearly everythink and is also cheaper to live there than the other places i mentioned previously. There’s a American school there and a i guess there is also a small American community.
Belo Horizonte is very safe comparing to others Brazilian cities, mainly because it's not a touristic place.I see many times guys talking in English late at night like 11:00 PM and they’ve no problem.
You will need the yellow fever vaccine in order to prevent this disease.I don't know exactly whether the vaccinations are different or not but we have anti Hepatitis A and B and anti Thetanus for example.
Answer:
Brazil over all isn’t a safe country. Just jump right in! While there are areas far worse than anything you've seen before, the people are so damn nice.
