hi im from the philippines and here's my situation.

im going to LA for a one month vacation in September [which means i have a US Visa already]

then i want to visit a friend in Toronto

i dont have Canadian Visa

what should i do? any suggestions? directions? i like airtravel by the way. Thanks =D

I assume you mean that you are a Filipino citizen who has a US Visitor visa. You’ll definitely need a canadian Visitor visa. The fact that you’re coming from the US does not make a difference, though they’ll probably consider your case more sympathetically since you’ve a US Visitor Visa. That is US Visitor Visa requirements are much more stringent and it is pretty unlikely you will meet US requirements but not Canadian.

I’ve included some links below for you to look at. You’ll be much superior off if you apply for a Canadian Visa before you come to the US otherwise you might not have enough time in the US to apply. But if you do want to apply when you are in LA, the last link below is for the Canadian consulate in LA.

Good luck and make sure you prepare and do your homework. Have all your documentation together when you apply, you don't have much time and you can't afford delays.

If you’ve a valid Passport, that is all you’ll need when you enter Canada as a visitor. They’ll probably check your travel itinerary, maybe your plane tickets, but you should be fine. Make sure you’ve all of that information with you.
