I would like to work a ski season somewhere, but already have a home in Kits so won't want to live on site. I am from Australia, so have no clue about the mountains! The only 2 I know of are Grouse & Cypress. Are there any others? And which is easiest to get to via public transport? Many thanks!!

Answer:
Grouse is the closest and easiest to get to by public transit.

go to http://www.grousemountain.com to apply.

Mount Seymour is next closest and Cypress is next closest after that but Cypress is harder to get to by transit.

Those are the three local north shore ski hills.

To map it out http://www.translink.ca

Whistler is an hour and half north up highway 99

Answer:
Seymour doesn't have has good skiing as Grouse or Cypress. Personally, I like Grouse and it's easier to get to becuase of the tram. But some people prefer Cypress (it has X country skiing) but you have to drive to the top. There is a bus that goes up to Cypress but its $8 (its a greyhound): http://www.cypresscoachlines.com/site/in…

and Grouse has a normal bus that goes to the bottom and then you take the tram.

Answer:
Grouse is the easiest since the bus goes to the bottom of the tram. There's Mount Seymour as well.
