I'm doing a report for our Political Science course for later this week, and I selected the next election. Personally, I like Michael Ignatieff…I can't stand Stephen Harper! I’m just wondering what Canadians think, who would you vote for? I don't need a reason, just a vote STEPHEN HARPER or MICHAEL IGNATIEFF? I just need to know, simply to state “the majority of Canadians would vote for…” No superior place to ask than Yahoo Answers!
Thanks a lot…
Answer:
Ignatieff is an ex-pat who's come home sniffing around for an area of discontent. He's spent nearly all his adult years out of the country - not a great background for a leader! He's also doing little but stirring up dissention. I've yet to hear any positive planning coming from him. Harper might not be a sparkling personality, but he's doing a great job under very difficult conditions.
Answer:
I can't vote, but my parents always vote for the Conservatives.
I have no idea who this Ignatieff person is. I live right next to the States, so I just hear about their politics on the radio. I didn't even know what was happening in Parliament until my history instructor was talking about it in class one day.
Answer:
I'm a supporter of the Liberal Party. I voted for my local Liberal MP.
If you knew how politics work in Canada, you'd know we don't vote for our Prime Minister.
Answer:
Doing a Political Science course… Come on, we don't vote for our Prime Minister.
Answer:
A coalition of a NDP/Bloc/Green Celebration majority would bring a breath of fresh air! If either the Liberals or Conservatives should win, then they should govern as a minority government. Even being of the liberal camp myself I believe those last two celebrations would do more damage than good if they were to be a majority government!
Answer:
I can't vote, I'm only 15…
But, if I could I would vote for the Bloc Québécois.
