I'm thinking about taking a vacation down there next summer and I was just wondering what there is to do there and if it's a good destination spot for a family with kids to go.
Answer:
I was there for one day. The previous writer stated “rustic” and that is a good way to put it. But I thought it was very beautiful and the people I encountered were very nice. Driving his very scary - use taxis or shuttle services. They have some great National Parks and Mayan Ruins. Belize has a pretty interesting history. You know English is their first language? If you’re into watersport - scuba, snorkeling, windsurfing etc, you'll very much enjoy it. Also, if you like hiking, caving, etc you'll also find plenty to do. I really wish I'd had more time to spend there.
Answer:
It's a tiny more… rustic that some of the more developed islands. If you're just down for the beach, snorkeling, scuba diving experience it might be good. If you're looking for semi-jungle just chilling out, vacationing, it's good. It isn’t a big sight seeing, partying kind of place, though.
Enjoy.
