No you do not need to. You will need your passport at the airport though when you are leaving.
Answer: I think no, you need your passport only at the airport. You don`t have to show everyone and everywhere your passport , it`s not safety.

me and 3 of my friends are staying at the sun tan motel in ocean city maryland. but they said no guests are allowed so i was wondering if any one has stayed here and how strict they are on it.
