My family and I are torn between the two. We have only been on the Disney Cruises, so this year we decided to try a new cruise. If anyone has any tips or advice on either cruise or cruise line, that would be very helpful as well.

Answer:
Royal Caribbean is way better for the family, or any age that is! Royal Caribbean (unlike Disney) has a Casino, and like most ships, a bar, a theater, and a pool. But the great things about Royal Caribbean Cruises are that they’re one-of-a-kind in many ways!

~The dining room (on the more massive ships) has 3 stories and every one has its own color theme.

~ The Bigger ships have Malls! The mall has a souvenir shop, a pizza place, a coffee shop, a jewelry store, a perfume store, and on some ships, the malls have all that plus a barber shop, Ben and Jerry's, and a surf shop!

~Every ship has a rock climbing wall, and its so nice to see the view of the ocean from the top!

~ Voyager Class ships and above have a basketball court, roller blading, ice skating and mini putt putt

~Freedom Class ships have Surfing!!! Its the most fun thing to do! These ships also have a mini water park that’s fun for kids, and even for adults

~ Royal Caribbean's spas are so relaxing! They give the best everything! (massages, facials, manicures, pedicures…)

~Royal Caribbean's Private Island is to die for!! Its so pleasant there and they have great activities to do including a water park which has trampolines, little climbing walls, floating logs…

Now I don't know about you, but I would really like to go on Royal Caribbean because the ideal things Carnival have, is a water slide, and good night clubs. Honestly, go with RC, its great for the family.

Answer:
These are 2 of the largest cruise lines and have many classes/sizes of ships so its hard to generalize but here goes.Carnival is one of the least pricey cruises and are geared more for younger active shipmates, appeal to college students on spring break. RCC appeals more to family vacations but still have lots to do.RCC is less pricey than Disney/Princess/Celebrity/Norweigen but above Carnival. While food on all ships is good to great,RCC is a little superior than CCL but both don't match up to above four.I definately feel a western Caribbean is way to go in any case.

Answer:
Royal Caribbean is way superior. I’ve been on a Canada/New England cruise with RCI, and Eastern Caribbean cruise with RCI, a Canada/New England cruise with Holland America, and soon to be a Western Caribbean cruise with RCI. I love Royal Caribbean. They are astounding. They’ve the biggest ideal ships. I have heard mainly bad things about Carnival but some good things. I think the upside to Royal Caribbean's western Caribbean is that it goes to one of their private destinations wheras Carnival's doesn't. By the way, I’m 13 and turning 14 over our next cruise, so take it from a kid that Royal Caribbean is incredible.

Answer:
Well Disney is pretty astounding. My advice is to go on the Royal Caribbean because their service is just impeccable and although they’re more pricey its totally worth it. I mean Carnival has some of the same stuff, but a lot of people only go to gamble, get drunk, and party, and its a lot of younger people, while Royal has families who like to do more then just celebration. Plus the ships are big and there is never a dull moment.

Answer:
Wow thats a hard question.. I personally like Royal better..incredible service and tons of food and drinks everywhere so its convenient if u need something also the food is breathtaking and the ships are kept spotless the activities are so fun and the whole ship is beautiful.. ive never been on carnival before but i kno the quality may not be as good, but u can party all night if u want.. it will be a party cruise if u go on carnival and a relaxing luxary cruise with Royal

Answer:
Wow thats a toughie. I've traveled on Royal 3 times, and let me tell you it was the BEST. Impeccable service, staff is very friendly, beautiful ship, lots of activities. Carnival is known for the celebration cruise. BUT Royal is a celebration cruise, too, just not as much as Carnival. It depends on what your looking for. Are you looking to celebration each night 'till the crack of dawn? Carnival. Are you looking for more luxury? Royal. I advocate Royal, and take Carnival next year,

Answer:
i just went on a carnival cruise last year to the western caribbean and i loved it!! very good price, and so much to do. we went on the carnival glory which is really nice! carnival has a new one this year called the spledor, that i am going to try next year! The larger the ship the less motion you feel as well.

Answer:
After spending some days with royal I state they rock a lot. So I would say Royal but that mainly because I havent been to Carnival. After I heard Carnival is the cruise equialent to Las Vegas at sea so if you like the dizzle tizzle kind of vacation go with Carnival otherwise choice Royal. Johan

Answer:
I think you'll be disappointed by not staying with Disney. Disney is rated #1 in all aspects for cruises.

But with that stated, you really have to look at what each cruise line and ship has to offer. They are all different. I'd get as much information and really look at their websites…and then do a pro and con list of each…

Frankly I don't think you'll make a mistake with either one…they both are very family orientated…

Answer:
It just depends on what you want. Royal Caribbean has more fun things to do on the ship like ice skating and rock climbing and even surfing. Carnival is great too but they don't have all those neat things. But they do have things like great pools and fun slides.

Answer:
just got back from the royal caribbean cruise and i had the best time of my life.

it was astonishing.

and trust me, it is a celebration ship.

theyres so much to do a night and during the day and the service was excelelnt

Answer:
Go with Royal Caribbean. The service and amenities on their ships are way better than Carnival's.

Answer:
Oh my god, Royal Caribbean is AMAZING. Definitely select that one.
