Do you know any really exotic cruises where you can meet lot's of new people? Are some Cruise lines superior than others?
I have never been at sea before, but I want to plan something for this summer.

I'm not single so I can't really comment on single cruises. But since this is your first cruise I'd suggest that you go to a LOCAL travel agent to have your questions answered. Each cruise is very very special and one might be better for you than another.
A travel agent can answer and research your questions very swiftly. They want you to be satisfied with their suggestions so they will work hard for you.
As for traveling this summer, you need to get going. You may be required to have a passport depending on where you are cruising. They take at least 10-12 weeks to get.
