Well, the Sezen Aksu compositions were memorable. If I'm not mistaken, Şıkıdım and Yakalarsam Muç Muç (don't know the real name) songs are examples.
So, if you ask me, Sezen Aksu made Tarkan.

The KissKiss song is very funny, but sorry Middle-Eastern music isn’t really my cup of tea.
