The Hotel Formule 1, is a cheap chain throughout France (also found throughout other countries) Very basic and not en-suite, but a room sleeps up to 3 people and from 20 euros upwards for a room.

Nothing is cheap for Americans these days….dollar is so weak. That place2stay one looks like couch surfing, so, if you're into that…the Formule1 might be your ideal bet. Sounds less pricey than a Youth Hostel if you aren't alone! Even if you are.
I just checked it out, and the Formule 1 hotels are pretty far from the Centre. If you don't care about location….
