I am planning to go to France to learn french for 6 mos or so, what city has the ideal school to do this ? and is open to international students? any suggestions, past experiences, would help me..

thank you!!

Answer:
I spent a semester studying french at the Instituit Catholique in Paris. I went through my university in the US. However, in my class there were many adults who were not university students, who just wanted to learn french. I really enjoyed my class there. The professor was great and the students were fun. Students in these classes come from all over the world so it's just a fun atmosphere. One benefit of studying at ICP is that if you are proficient enough, you can take other classes in history, art, literature, etc. Another benefit is the location of the school. It's located right in the center of Paris in the Latin Quarter, so everything is close by. Hope this helps!

Answer:
You can't just go to France for six months and enroll in a school, especially if you don't speak fluent French.

Would this be high school or college age? Your school would most likely have to have an exchange program with an institution in Paris.

The American School and the International School both have English instruction, but application deadlines are more than a year in advance. And have you checked to see if the credits would even transfer? =]

Answer:
Check out Montpellier.

“Capital of Languedoc, 80,000 students, 5 miles from the Med, 300 sunny days each year !
