What’s the ideal town to stay in France for 4 months in the Summer.?

We want to learn the language, paint, write and stay active playing tennis. We love Paris and staying nearby (one hour away) appeals to us. we’ll need to rent, preferably a massive place to receive visitors. Merci

i would suggest if you try west, on the road to Normandy if you want to stick nearby Paris… but the ideal way to experience “the Real France” is to go anywhere far from Paris

1- down south AIX EN PROVENCE is every french, even parisians favorite.

2- middle east ANNECY is astounding, with lake, mountains, busy all year.

3- atlantic coast BIARRITZ just before Spain is our tiny french australia

i went to this place for 2 months and it was great and it is called Grimaud it is 2 hour drive from nice and 10 minute drive from great st tropez and wonderful weather just some time it may take 4o minutes from bad traffic
