i have the stereotype of it being a bit revouloutionary and rebellious and when the french don`t like something paris starts and the country follows.
also is there anyway that you can ask a local to show you round and if so how

The parisians have a superiority complex towards the rest of France. They call the non-parisians “provinciaux” and all the rest of France “la province” even though only 1/6 of the French lives in Paris. They think there’s Paris, and that the rest of the country is just the background.
Answer:
I would imagine that the Parisian, (one who lives in Paris) is maybe looked upon by themselves and maybe others as being superior to the rest of the French nationals.
