W O W !!! I'm surprised, a young lady like you is intereted in : classical music… - GREAT - Brahms, Heyden, Beethoven were all competent composers. Also…I was a bit amazed, that (also one of my favorites) Marc Medlock is known in the US!! (he won the latest contest on the german “american idol)..he's such an original, very special guy !
On my personal…favorites, I really had to think for a while, because even though I'm german, I do NOT “care for” too many “german's”.. sorry, but I'm more dedicated & connected with the american culture…so if I had to select a german… I guess I tend towards the late : Hildegard Knef, because her songs contained deep lyrics ! Goethe & Schiller were great writers & Joshka Fisher a decent foreign minister (who spoke good english) -smile-…
