Hi,

I am traveling from Denmark to India tomorrow. I have an overnight stopover in Frankfurt. Could you please tell if baggage can be checked in to final destination ? Do I have to manually check it in again in Frankfurt ?

If there’s no option, but to collect my baggage in FRA, then I also heard, there’s a previous night checkin possible. Could you then please tell me how to go from arrivals hall to departure halls and checkin ? Also, what time does the checkin counter close ? My flight arrives at 22:00 in FRA. thanks,

Answer:
Yes, you can check your baggage straight to your final destination India. Just let them know on your check-in in Denmark. They probably ask you anyway if you want that.

Depending on what airlines you’re going, they might be able to check you right thru too.

In case you’ve to check-in again in Frankfurt for your flight to India the official counter usually closes 30 minutes to departure time, at the time the gate opens and boarding starts.

The usuall way to get from one flight to the next is to follow the “Transit” sign. When you arrive you are on the same floor with the departure. Only to pick up baggage you get lead to the baggage claim downstairs. If your baggege get send thru to India, there will be no need to go down there.

In case you need assistance anyway in Frankfurt, there are information points in each section of each terminal all night long. Helping you with whatever you need. If you feel lost do not hesitate to ask anyone with a airport-pass on his jacket or the police. They will always help you.

To get advice on what to do in Frankfurt you can always ask the airlines you’re flying with also.

Happy journey and greetings from Frankfurt :-)
