My husband is stationed in Germany right now. Is there a Netflix-type service in Germany that he could use to get and return DVDs by mail? He has a “real” (non-APO) address.

If anyone has experience with something like this, how much does it cost? Which service would you advocate? Did you’ve any service problems?

Thanks!

Answer:
I think the amazon DVD renting service should serve him well. I'm with them, and their rates are really affordbale. For one DVD at a time, I pay 9.99 euros a month, no monthly restrictions. For two at a time, I think it's 14.99 or so. Anyway, you just put the DVD into the return envelope and drop it into the next mailbox. That's it.

No service problems so far with amazon. And I think your husband can easily register with his army address and his credit card. BUT:

They're transferring their service to lovefilm.de. I don't know about them. The “17.99″ euro scheme (2 CDs at a time, unlimited rental) seem reasonable to me.

Amazon hasn't transferred me to lovefilm yet, but will probably do so soon. If lovefilm provides the same service amazon did, I'll stay with them.
