What is the most high-priced hotel in berlin and where should tourists stay

Answer:
Hotel Adlon Kempinski is very high priced! It's located basically right next to the Brandenburg Gates (some rooms have view of the gates). It is the hotel that Michael Jackson stayed at when he got caught dangling his baby over the balcony!! So lots of celebrities and even royalty stay there. There is a lot of road and building works going on around the area at the moment so it can look a tiny less appealing.

I was in Berlin in February this year and decided to stay at the Apartments am Brandenburger Tor. The unit we got was fully self contained, which included a full kitchen. It was just behind Hotel Adlon and not even a 1 minute walk to the Brandenburg Gates. The hotel was central to a lot of other tourist places in Berlin, which were accessible either by foot or public transport - places such as Potsdamer Platz, Tiergarden, Reichstag, Alexander Platz, Berlin Zoo and Kurfurstendamm (just to name a few).

The time before that we were there in December 2005 and we stayed at Hotel Koenigshof. Different location, but again very accessible to everything by either foot or public transport. This place has single and double rooms and even share rooms for up to 4 people and room costs include breakfast everyday - which was absolutely delicious!!!

I would personally advocate staying in either Mitte, Charlottenburg or Tiergarten areas, but that's because these are areas that I am rather familiar with. But the public transport system over there’s excellent so even if you stayed in areas outside these, you wouldn't have any troubles getting around.

One other thing I will suggest is doing one of the free walking tours of the city. All you do is meet outside the Starbucks next to the Brandenburg Gates. The tour took us about 4 or so hours, but it was very worthwhile. The guide was really knowledgable and gave us so much information on the city and it's history. All you need to do is give the guide a tip at the end if you want. Much superior than paying for an expensive tour, and the information you get, and places you get to see are great.

Good luck and care about it! Berlin is a beautiful city. I'll be visiting there again next year!

Answer:
Yes there are quite near. Not very far at all. Go to www.maps.google.com and search for Kruezberg Berlin and you'll be able to zoom in and see how far they’re. Kruezberg is not far from Mitte and Charlottenburg. Report Abuse
