Just for the information of other people who might think Jawhar is a sub-urb of Mumbai in Thane:
Jawhar is a hill station and a municipal council in a forested part of Thane district about 175 Km from Mumbai. lt is Iocated at 1900 ft above sea level and is recommeded for a visit during monsoon when there are waterfalls and mist all around. If you are going from Mumbai, take NH-8 (Western Express Highway ) until Charoti and then turn right towards Jawhar.
