Hindi language help?

For example:

Meri dunya is my world right?

Can I say “mera dunya”?

In Hindi, The gender depends on something that you’re referring to. In this case Duniya (World) is a feminine word in hindi and hence merI Duniya. If you want to say 'My country is Philippines' then you would say 'MerA desh Philippines hai' since desh (Country) is a male word.

I know this concept of gender is confusing. more so, because there is no particular rule for the gender classification in Hindi. But you will learn with time.

Try reading hindi a lot. That is the only way to learn what is male or a female word

but some people of bengali origin state “mera” a lot for feminine words

unfortunately…there’s no rule book on male/female words, you just have to know them.
