Do tourists go to Jail in Mumbai?

I don't know if this is true but I heard that if people from different countries who want to visit Mumbai (a.k.a. Bombay), they get arrested and stuck in jail for no reason?

I don't think that this is true though, I think people were giving me a threat just to scare me.

I was wondering if I live here in US and want to visit Mumbai for fun, can I be able to do that?

Of course u can. No problem at all. Any tourist or anybody will not be jailed without any reason. If some reliable infirmation is provided to the police, telling that u r a criminal or terrorist or something like that, then only they will take u for inquiry, not jailing. But, as far as u are a normal tourist, and not breaching any laws, u can visit India without any fear being arrested.
