I got an opportunity to work in Dublin!
Is there anythings I need to know about Dublin, or Irish before I go there?
What are the sexual attititudes like?
How are foreigners treated?
The rest I have the ability to read in guide books and stuff, but for those I need the average Irish guys view!
Thank you!

Congrats on the job offer!
Dublin has a really cool music scene, a vibrant vibe, and lots of interesting places, but it's a bit chaotic (driving there is awful because the roads are so so narrow) and parts of the city are run-down & grimy, but most cities have areas like that. There are lovely areas, too.
Ummmm, I'm not entirely sure what you mean by “sexual attitude.” I read somewhere that Dublin has a more massive per-capita gay population than San Francisco, and when I was there I saw gay couples & bars with rainbow flags, so I think they are fairly open-minded.
Just be who you’re.
It has a lot more diversity than the rest of Ireland; you see far more foreigners there than in smaller towns. From what I understand, there is some resentment & intolerance towards foreigners who are perceived to be taking away jobs from the Irish, but I think the majority of people are cool.
I've been there several times, and besides wanting to yank my hair out in the traffic have always had a great experience. The last time I was there was for a few days in January (brr!) & I had an awesome stay. I'm an American teenager, and people were constantly chatting me up and being cool to me. So, as a foreigner there I was treated very well.
I'm not Irish or a guy, so I don't know how much this will help, but….. here ya go anyway.
Cheers

i was in dublin in september 2006. it is a lovely city….
it is similar to any US major city…except it is smaller.
the people are really nice. the pubs are great.
while staying in Dublin, you should take the time to travel further around the country. my reccomendations are:
kilkenny (which is very close..on the east coast)
kiss the Blarney Stone in Blarney National Park
Rock of Cashel
Kinsale
Dingle Peninsula
Cliffs of Moher (i'm not sure if you can walk this anymore..then we were there..they were building a fence..but since it wasn't finished, we were able to walk arounf it.)
we found Limerick to be a waste of time
As for the Irish in general, most are extremely nice and they’re used to foreigners\tourists etc etc. a lot speak with a VERY heavy accent…and even though they are speaking english.. it is still hard to understand them.
when we were in dublin, we took a tour on the “hop on - hop off” bus. and we also went on a literary Pub Crawl. They also have music pub crawls. there's a ton of things to do.
i would completely take the opportunity. actually, i'm quite jealous!!! ireland is really such a beautiful country!!
ps. one other thing to consider. in Ireland…their currency is Euro's. When we went it was $1.30 in US to ONE Euro.
You will find that things in Ireland cost the same…in number value.. but since it is in Euro's… it is actually a bit more then it would be in dollars.
so, basically, if you go out to dinner…a meal and a few drinks will be $40-$50 per couple. $20-$25 per person. Which sounds pretty similar to the states…..but it's in Euros… so it is really $52 - $65 per couple.
do you know what i mean?
anyway….good luck!
all the ideal!!
Answer:
It can depend on where you work and live.
Sexual attitudes are open, generally foreigners are treated like everyone else depends on how you treat others.
I'll put it this way, it's like each other large city.
