Is it possible to take a bus or a tour to the Gardens? We would prefer not to rent a car and will only be in Rome for 2 days before we take a train to Venice. Thank you

You can reach Capalbio via train from Rome: http://www.trenitalia.com/en/index.html
just put Rome and Capalbio and you'll get all the info you need. It'll take 1h 43 min, generally.
Garavicchio (where the Garden is located) is a fraction inside Capalbio municipality.
