What is the story behind the flag of the Italian province of Veneto. Please include the most details you can, thank you!


Answer:
Flag adopted according to a regional law of 20-05-1975 and modified by an other regional lay on 22-02.1999 which deletes the script “Regione del Veneto”.
On the popeian red drape with blue and gold gears that resemble the flag of Venetian Serenissima Republic, it opens a window depicting regional landscapes from mountains to the sea. The window shows San Marcus Lion. On the flag wing there are seven tails: the coats of arm of the seven provincial capital cities in alphabetycal order (Belluno, Padova, Rovigo, Treviso, Venezia, Verona and Vicenza).
