Who want somewhere that is close to a few shops and a beach, somewhere that captures the beauty of the country and is reasonably priced. Cheap can mean tacky, so a bit more costly than cheap. Somewhere that is historical and astounding.

Cinque terre is a nice tiny place and there are only about 4 hotels to stay at and are not that high-priced. They are really nice too. It is right by the beach (walking distance about 2 - 7 minutes) and has great tiny shops with clothes and accessories and souvenirs
