I'm taking a bus to Mexico from Canada, but I understand they only hand out tourist visas upon crossing the border to US citizens. How could I get a Mexican tourist visa in Canada before departing?

They give them to citizens of Canada at the border also but if you want to get it before you leave just go to your nearest Mexican Consulate.
