and was wondering (from the people that have been) what some must see and/or do things that we should experience. We’re definitely going to visit the Malecon one afternoon/evening and are thinking of taking a hike back to a waterfall. We love ecotourism things as well as emersing ourselves in local culture. Any and all recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks in advance! ![]()

My wife and I go to Puerto Vallarta each year at the end of October and it is the perfect time of year. The weather is completely gorgeous, almost never any rain, low humidity, and all the flowers and plants are in full bloom. No crowds, so you can go anywhere and do anything. www.tripadvisor.com has many good ideas for what to do. A good local site is http://vallartainfo.com/. It has good maps and expert knowledge of PV and good hiking info. If you click at the top of the page and go to Puerto Vallarta bulletin board, you can ask the locals about things in PV. If you click below it to Music and Entertainment in PV, you’ll find a lot of info about the night life. Walk the malecon on any night, but especially on Sunday, or Saturday. There is so much going on, with music, food, all kinds of entertainment. Anywhere you go, tell the staff that you’re on your honeymoon. Mexicans love to do special things for honeymooners. Eat at Carlos Obrien's (on the malecon) and you’ll find out what I mean.
If you run into a happy, old couple (at the Cheeky Monkey for $1.00 margaritas or Cafe Roma, near the flea market (where the owner, Senor Fox, just got married in Georgia), we will tell you the secret for a long and happy marriage. You will love Puerto Vallarta.

Make sure to go on a snorkeling trip to Banderas Bay (Los Arcos Discovery Cruise is a good one.) Also, go in to the local shops/markets and bargain the price, it's fun and you get great deals! ENJOY!
