I’m planning to go to Riviera Maya (BLUE BAY GRAND ESMERALDA Hotel) in Mid October and I had two questions:
1. what kind of weather should i be anticipating
2. what is the beach quality and sea water quality ( jelly fish? clear white water? … )

Answer:
1. The weather should be just fine, though keep in mind it is still hurricane season but chances are small that this will be an issue.
2. Beach quality is fine as well and jelly fish isn’t an issue. I included a link below that shows the average weather, sea temperatures etc.

We’re going to Sandos in about 3 weeks. We went the same time last year and the weather was great. We stayed at the Barcelo Tropical.
It did rain a tiny bit - but only for a short time then the sun came out full blast. Temps ranged from mid 80's to low low 90's. Came home with a sunburn - last day we were there the temp was 92. The water was totally gorgeous and warm. We swam our hearts out. The water was clear to the bottom.
We've never stayed at the Blue Bay Esmeralda so I don't know if beach conditions are different or not - but the Barcelo Tropical is in the same area. We did not encounter any jelly fish.
