Have question about leasing to another in Mexico for those that know some info…?

My Grandmother is in Tamaulipas from my moms side and is terminally ill. She rented out the front part of her home to this guy almost twenty yrs ago after my grandfather died, it was too much memory for her but anyway my bro tells the guy that he has to move out now that she is on her last days. The guy respons by saying that he has each right to stay there since hes been paying monthly rent for so long and once she goes, he can move in and kick anyone out who resides there. Of course I was mad about hearing this, just wondering about what you thought on that. Thanks in advance.:-)

Sounds like Mexico. Sometimes the only way to get renters out is a family emergency. Say someone in the family needs the rooms to live while taking care of grandma. May have to get the police involved
