.i am posting a draft that i have saved. it might not all be relevenent to your question but i hope it helps.i have been holidaying in mallorca twice a year since 1994 yes, there are lots of delights to be seen, hidden or otherwise. a trip to the west of the island is a MUST SEE!!!!

although the roads in this part of the island are very narrow and winding, as long as you take your time you’ll be ok. buses on these roads have priority so be prepared to pull in or back up.just keep a cool head and all wil be ok. in this part of the island you will find the beautiful village of valdemossa, with the carthaginian monastary where chopin spent nine months composing some of his ideal works. further along is the village of deya where micheal douglas has a home, the hotel where the late princess diana stayed many times. you will also find the grave of writer robert graves.(i cladius)

in the north of the island is the beautiful port of soller. i would recommemd you take the train from palma and return by the tourist train. it's an experience in itself!!!.also in the north there’s the beautiful bay of alcudia-the biggest on the island and the very pretty town of pollensa.

as you will be staying on the east coast, try out porto cristo with the caves of drac. it has the largest underground lake in europe.

palma city–NOT palma nova– is another must. the cathedral is beautiful. also behind that’s the BORNE, the main commercial and cosmopoliton area of the city.explore the old narrow streets of the city and you will find loads of hidden gems.

for a great night out -if you can get a babysitter-try the SON AMAR. situated inland not far from palma.

this is a fantastic night out and although it may seem on the costly side it is worth every penny.

there are lots for the kids on the island also. marineland has a live dolphin show. there is the wild west waterpark.aquapark and the pirate show, although this wouldn’t be suitable for the baby.

glad to see that you will be taking in a football game while there. although i am a granny to five and irish i am a large fan of real mallorca though they’re not doing too well at all this season.

i could go on and on about mallorca. i am not in any way associated to the tourism industry there. i am just someone who fell in love with mallorca. the island of calm-LA ISLA DE CALMA. maybe you will too.

ps. alcudia is very family orientated. it is the largest of the of the resorts but dont let that put you off as it is mostly familes who holiday there. sorry i cant tell you more about alcudia. try entering alcudia in your search engine and follow the links.

Answer:
I went there on holiday about seven ears ago and i can remember it as being ok but not my favourite place in Majorca.I remember it as being quiet during the day and with a sedate nightlife but so long as the sun is shining who cares , enjoy your holiday.

it doesn't look like there’s anything to do… but depending on the location will be on what there’s in the local area from a Taxi
