ah, that's an interesting one.

It's pretty hard to find a match, for genevas climate is pretty even balanced.

Looking at the states on the eastcost - massachusetts, connecticut, you’ll come closest to the weather in geneva.

I would state Bridgeport CT is the ideal bet. make it a tiny colder during summer and warmer in winter; and a little less rain and you'll be in geneva.

Regarding the stats, new york seems to come closest in average temerature (monthly) and rainfall - yet those stats don’t concider the differences during daytime and nighttime. which is more even in connecticut IMO

you can see the climate stats for geneva here: http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bild:Klimad…

and here: http://www.iten-online.ch/klima/europa/s… (GERMAN site, more detailed temerature, less detailed rainfall)

As for living in geneva - everything is like miniature: the streets, the vehicles, the buildings. there's no blocks because the city is founded hourdreds of years ago. Since everything is close together - people walk more or use public transport for arround the town. The people speak french and are often regarded kind, for american standarts - as long as you go by their rules . And after the shops are closed (which is pretty erarly), the city falls asleep and waits for the next morning.

Oh, and regarding the weather in geneva - it can have it's extreme spots too - have a look ;-)

Answer:
Living in Geneva is fabulous. But now it has gotten very costly. It's a beautiful city, very cultural, interesting melting-pot. Downsides: find an apartment, find a job, find a parking place. But as a tourist you wouldn't care about these problems. June is great with a festival of music all over town, you also have lots of parks, and summer is the ideal season to visit Geneva. Check out Carouge and the Old Town, le Parc des Bastions. A lot of young people who hang out in the streets, or who stay on terraces, and there is a wonderful atmosphere. The weather is warm but not hot, just to wear tank tops and normal summer clothes.

Answer:
Is near the mountains but it is mediteranean climate, not very hot in the summer not cold in the winter,so there are green trees all winter.
