I think the Metropolitan line is part of London's underground…

yes, the Metropolitan is an underground line … when you get off your train at St Pancras Intl look for the underground sign … see the circle with the horizontal bar across like on the bottom right of this tube map

follow these signs to Kings Cross St Pancras underground station and then look for the purple signs for Metropollitan line (there are 6 different underground lines going through this station) … you will need to know whether the station you're heading for is on the east or west part of the line to get to the right platform
